Existing corridors, stairs and other circulation patterns were retained, with classrooms being retrofitted and combined to accommodate the new apartment use.
Located on one of the taller buildings in the area, the roof deck provides panoramic views back to Center City.
The existing site landscaping and parking was also reconstructed. In combination with the full coverage extensive green roof, the project qualified for Philadelphia Water Department stormwater credits. The building is registered on the National Register of Historic Places, and the project received historic preservation tax credits.
