In response to increasing demand for outpatient care, Virtua converted its Berlin facility from an inpatient hospital to a campus for community-based and post-acute services focused on improving patient access to care and quality of care.
CosciaMoos’ role in the project consisted of a full interior demolition and renovations to 1,860 square feet of the former first floor inpatient unit, as well as upgrades to outdated mechanical systems. The program includes a vestibule for private consulting, a non-sterile compounding area, work and support space for pharmacists and technicians, and provisions for the preparation, storage, and shipping of mail order prescriptions to patients.
