Location Philadelphia, PA

Scope 100,000 SF

Originally built as a glass factory, the aging building at 1700 North Howard Street will be reimagined into a 100,000-square-foot, mixed-use development.

The six-story building will include ground floor commercial space below five floors of residential apartments, totaling 100 units.

The renovation incorporates the original three-story corner warehouse building into the new building’s design.

Lower level apartments face the street and have direct access from the sidewalk, keeping with the townhouse scale and rhythm of the surrounding neighborhood. Upper-level apartments enjoy skyline views of Center City Philadelphia, and with the Berks Station only a block and a half away, residents have convenient transportation into the city in minutes.
