CosciaMoos Architecture is seeking a Marketing Manager to support its strategic goals of thought leadership, increasing visibility and brand recognition, while also strengthening and expanding the firm’s client base. Working closely with CosciaMoos’ Leadership, the Manager will provide expertise and leadership to implement and enhance the firm’s marketing, communications and business development strategies, contribute to long term strategic planning, and oversee and champion the ongoing efforts of its marketing team. An important emphasis of the role will be to oversee the dissemination of internal and external  communications, and to support the acquisition of new work through continuous improvement of our promotional content and building of our brand. This essential role requires an excellent communicator who understands the architecture industry and embraces a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage department priorities and workload, employ methods to measure and analyze team performance.
  • Mentor team to improve their skills and effectiveness within the firm and serve as a resource for decisions and help problem solve day-to-day issues.
  • Develop necessary processes, and improve existing ones, to increase the efficiency of the department.
  • Develop framework and manage content organization strategy including file structure, written and visual content, and monitor continued adherence to the established structure over time.
  • Lead internal communications to promote awareness of marketing and business development efforts among staff at all levels
  • Create and maintain marketing, business development and communications budgets
  • Devise strategies that will lead to successful marketing efforts, project pursuits and teaming opportunities
  • Facilitate and inform interview presentation strategies
  • Provide oversight and direction on all marketing materials including proposals, print collateral, website, social media, publications and all related communications materials. Work directly with Studio leadership to identify and vet specific prospects locally, regionally and nationally, and help build relationships and assemble teams in pursuit of opportunities.
  • Work with individual studios to define criteria for “go/no-go” decisions
  • Conduct market research to include industry trends, potential clients/partners, and monitor the competitive marketplace
  • Maintain and develop relationships with other architecture and consulting firms regarding team partnering and other relevant opportunities. Develop and oversee PR/Communications strategy and cultivate relationships with editors, writers, print and online publication. Maintain a database of contacts, mailing lists, qualifications, awards, and publications.
  • Prepare presentations for speaking engagements and client interviews. Schedule and manage rehearsals and preparation activities.
  • Engage in media outreach and identify promotional opportunities including trade shows, conferences, events, and meetings. Coordinate with the team to assemble the required materials.
  • Prepare award submissions and submit projects for media publication.
  • Schedule photography sessions and maintain an image database.
  • Curate content and strategic messaging to ensure that the firm’s brand is communicated clearly and consistently across all channels.
  • Provide copy editing and proofing to ensure quality control of promotion materials.
  • Participate in business development meetings. Prepare agendas and minutes as needed.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or related field (such as: Architecture and design with related marketing experience).
  • 7 years minimum experience in marketing with in-depth knowledge of the architecture industry’s market, services, operations, and process as well as managing marketing teams.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Motivation to work independently in a deadline-driven environment and manage competing priorities with confidence, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.
  • Exceptional writing, copy-editing and graphic design abilities.
  • Excellent presentation, research, and written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent consensus-building and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office

This is a full-time position and requires employees to be in-office a minimum of 4 days per week, with up to one day per week of remote work.
