Careers

We hire good people and we commit to them. Whether you’re just starting out or have years on your resume, we’ll hand you plenty of opportunities to own and impact projects.

We are designers, investigators, and collaborators.

We prize creativity, we solve problems together, and we cultivate strong relationships. We recognize that asking questions and trying new things are integral parts of the design process and they help us better serve our clients.

Working at CosciaMoos

Our firm culture reflects our values – we prize creativity, we solve problems together, and we cultivate strong relationships. Ego has no place here; we know that each of our designers brings different experience to the table and we are always ready to learn from each other. Our clients and our projects come in all sizes, and you’ll get to experience the whole range. Here, you’ll work on prestigious projects but you’ll never get lost in the shuffle. You will be challenged, you’ll learn new things, and you’ll get real experience well before you could at a large firm. Our studio leaders also take the time to learn what you’re interested in, so they can match you with projects that spark your passion.

Employee Benefits

We offer great benefits, like full medical, dental, and disability; competitive salaries; 401(k)s; parental leave; and generous PTO, but we know it’s not just about the bottom line – so we also offer an open-door policy with management, the chance to do challenging work right away, office parties and activities, and a strong commitment to your work-life balance.

Professional Development

We think it’s best to learn by doing, so our young designers participate at all levels and on all types of projects right away. We take the time to teach you the right way to do things in a real project setting. We want everyone on our team to build their ideal career, and we want them to do it here. To make that happen, we have developed an intensive, year-long mentoring program for new and mid-career professionals. Mentees set their personal and professional goals, including planning for specific professional tests, learning effective management techniques, or working on leadership skills, and meet monthly with their mentors for guidance and support. We also pay for our employees’ professional licenses, to encourage them to build their networks and continue learning.

Internships

Are you ready to apply what you’ve learned in school to real world practice? Internships are critical to developing your design and professional skills, so we make sure that your time with CosciaMoos gives you meaningful real-world experience and a chance to learn what it’s really like to work in the industry. Our interns don’t fetch coffee – they are integral parts of the team who meet with clients and consultants, contribute to the design process, and participate in every phase of a project. Interns also receive one-on-one mentoring, technical training, and networking support. We know that a successful internship program prepares students to build a successful career post-graduation. Whether they return to CosciaMoos or practice somewhere else, we are proud to train and mentor the next generation of design talent.

Diversity

At CosciaMoos, we want all of our employees to feel valued and appreciated, with the freedom to be who they are, and we are committed to creating an inclusive and welcoming environment for all employees, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, disability status, or citizenship.

Working with colleagues from different backgrounds and with our diverse clients makes us better designers and a better firm. True diversity offers us a better variety of perspectives and problem-solving approaches, allows us to better understand the people who will use our buildings and be sensitive to cultural differences, and improves our firm culture by breaking down barriers and promoting real understanding.

I love the people I work with and I really trust them. So I give them as much autonomy and responsibility that I can. And I feel like that’s the most motivating thing, to really feel that you have something to bring to the project and that you have ownership.
