CosciaMoos Architecture was thrilled to partner with the Morris Animal Refuge for this year’s PARK(ing) Day. This annual event challenges artists, architects, and other citizens to reimagine a public parking space as a temporary parklet. The event celebrates parks and other public spaces in cities across the country, and raises awareness of the need for more pedestrian-friendly spaces in our urban areas.

This year, CosciaMoos’ parklet was located on the 1300 block of Walnut Street, right across from our new office. Our team built a puppy kissing booth, with play areas for puppies and potential adopters alike. Our partners at Morris Animal Refuge, the nation’s first animal refuge, brought two adorable puppies over to meet and greet some new friends. A beautiful design, couple with adorable puppies and a beautiful day, made our parklet a popular stop for passersby, raising crucial awareness for the refuge’s mission.
