  • Trenton Watch Factory

This multi-family residential building is housed in the original Trenton Watch Factory building and four later additions. The buildings were renovated into a senior housing complex in the early 1990s, but the property was in disrepair and in need of updating. Coscia Moos Architecture designed a new facade for the front entrance which includes a Corten steel canopy over an expanded entrance as well as a fiber cement rain screen facade with new windows and metal accents. It also includes a poured-in-place concrete wall which partially supports the canopy and helps to form the entry. As part of the renovation, Coscia Moos Architecture added a new, angular, plywood “portal” which spans from the entry into an existing atrium space.
